Class Types

Please bring your own yoga mat to all studio classes.

Beginner Flow.

This is the starting block for first-timers to yoga. Have no idea what yoga is, have no idea what to do, what to bring, what to wear, what to expect? Get in touch with us today to book in for this class and we will help you find your feet within our beautiful supportive community.

Already done yoga before, but want to get back to basics? You don’t necessarily need to be a first-timer to attend this class. You can attend as much as you like to refresh yourself with key foundational poses and progressions.

Vinyasa.

All are welcome at our Vinyasa Flow classes. Intelligently sequenced movement and breath designed for beginners right through to advanced. Everyone is looked after, guided and supported. Together we will rise and energetically lift each other up, as equals, no matter your story.

Yin.

A fascial release practice. No idea what that means, no problem! Expect a slow class mostly (but not always) on the floor with long-held poses designed to stretch out your connective tissues and release tight, tired and over-worked muscles. The perfect solution to go alongside other forms of physical work or exercise. Improve your flexibility, stretch, lengthen, recover, restore and chill out. This is a healing, nurturing practice both physically and mentally. Nourish your soul. This practice is a gift to yourself.

Meditation.

A standalone yogic practice of mindfulness. By focusing our attention on a certain thought, object or activity such as breathing, we are able to calm the mind and move ourselves towards a space of ease, mental clarity, emotional stability and an overall more relaxed state of being.

R&B Vinyasa.

R&B Vinyasa is a high energy Vinyasa class with epic tunes. Be prepared to let loose and have a damn good time on your yoga mat. This class will be a super fun sequence designed for everyone.

Sunrise Vinyasa.

Our Sunrise Vinyasa class is 45min invigorating yoga class purposefully sequenced to help you feel refreshed and energised for the day ahead. Importantly you can rest assured that the class will finish right on time, so that you can race out the door to work, school prep, drop-off or anything else you have planned. We promise we will never run over-time! For this class only, we ask you to please enter and exit via the small black door.

Yin Roll + Release.

Our Roll + Release class is a combination of Yin Yoga and myofascial release, designed to help you balance out your yoga practice, providing relief to trigger points thanks to the use of tennis balls in part of the class to massage the fascia beneath the skin. Both the Yin Yoga and myofascial release will work together to help you move with ease, calm the nervous system, reduce built up tension in the body and leave you feeling a million bucks! Balanced, calm and released.

Vin + Yin.

The best of both worlds - Vinyasa and Yin - merged into one beautifully balanced 60min class. Half invigorating vinyasa flow sequencing and half blissful Yin. This class really is a treat, in particular if you’re unable to carve out time to do a Vinyasa and Yin double class.

Mums + Bubs & Prenatal Yoga.

Join us every Tuesday morning at 10.45am for a 60min class for Mums & their Babies, as well as expectant Prenatal Mums.

For our Prenatal and Postnatal Mummas this is a great opportunity to be nurtured through a specifically sequenced yoga class, taking care of the changing body, engaging the pelvic floor, building strength, mental resilience and focus. All the good things including relaxation that will help physically and mentally prepare you for birthing your baby and beyond.

Prenatal Mums: This class is suitable for all levels including beginners, as long as you have been medically cleared and encouraged to continue moving throughout your pregnancy. Please BYO yoga mat.

Postnatal Mums: This class is suitable for babies from the time Mum has been medically cleared to resume physical activity (approx 6-8 weeks postpartum) up until the time baby starts to actively crawl. Please BYO yoga mat, a blanket or nest for your baby to relax on and your nappy bag. This is a safe space for you to enjoy your yoga practice, pausing whenever you might need to tend to your baby. Feeding is welcomed, just as laying in Savasana cuddling your baby is also welcomed (even if the rest of the class keeps flowing). This is YOUR time! We request that all nappies are to be taken home with you.

All pre/post natal Mums can expect to move, breathe and connect in a supportive space, where baby cries, cuddles and feeding are the norm. Those who attend class will also be added to our private Facebook group for fellow Habitus Yoga Mums. Many of whom head for a coffee before or after class and become lifelong friends.
